• What We Do

Our main goal is to help students to understand the benefits of higher education as a tool to progress in life by preparing them to apply to English-speaking colleges and, therefore, enhance their possibilities to gain access to jobs that can improve the living conditions of the students and their families.

We really believe that happiness can be achieved by overcoming difficulties in life and learning is the key factor. Helping students see its importance helps shape the dreams they develop for themselves, the same dreams that build a future for upcoming generations. Nevertheless, it is not always an easy path. That is why we want to share all the information and advice we gathered in our attempt to study in the best universities with other students, and by doing that, play our part in promoting equal information and equal opportunities.

To promote inclusion in higher education, we want to share our experience and become a free source of support to students from schools with a limited syllabus, by delivering peer-to-peer talks to understand early on the importance of a college education and by providing them tools to perfect and practice the English language, assisting them in their homework in English, Math and Science.

    Our System

This is a peer-to-peer tutoring program aimed at assisting students from schools with limited resources to raise awareness of the importance of higher education and providing them the necessary tools to gain access to English-speaking colleges and/or universities.

At Boosting Futures, we create both the supply and the demand of these services by contacting secondary schools whose students can qualify as beneficiaries or tutors for our program.

We deliver talks (recorded and live) about early college awareness and applying for financial aid, with each talk featuring a guest with expertise in the area. These may vary from college students and scholarship holders to admissions officers and university staff. Further information can be seen on the webinars page.

We also provide one-on-one supporting classes in English, Math and Sciences. Beneficiaries are able to see time-schedules with the availability of tutors and will be able to book them based on these. Lessons typically have a duration of 45 minutes. Beneficiaries who have already had lessons with a specific tutor will have a priority when booking that same one, as this helps the tutor create a more personal and effective lesson for the beneficiary. Surveys will constantly assess tutors’ performances to ensure that beneficiaries are taught in the best possible manner.
